The Schottländers Wagyu paddock to plate journey
From Schottländers’ paddocks to premium plates
In recent years, consumers around the world have developed a keen interest in understanding the lifecycle and history of the produce they’re eating. The term ‘paddock-to-plate’ encompasses that understanding.
Unfortunately, because there is little regulation over the use of the term, many so-called ‘paddock-to-plate’ ventures and promises are vague and unsubstantiated. That’s not the case at Schottländers Wagyu.
At Schottländers, we believe the paddock-to-plate journey is a key element that contributes to the exceptional quality of our wagyu beef. Discerning consumers demand proof that their food has been raised in an environmentally sustainable and ethical manner.
The Schottländers Wagyu paddock to plate journey
The animals are born on the Baden properties and spend their entire life here, enjoying resort-style living and fresh, natural grass and high-protein supplements.
They are vaccinated and drenched according to a unique program devised in collaboration with veterinary experts from Sydney University.
They are kept calm with meditation music that plays 24/7, automatic massage brushes that make them feel great, and a safe, quiet environment with sea views.
Animals don’t leave the Schottländers property for any reason until it’s time for slaughter.
They’re slaughtered locally (and soon, onsite) and brought directly back to the farm for butchering.
The meat is packaged with the Schottländers Wagyu seal inside the pack, so consumers know it’s authentic.
We can promise a full picture of the paddock-to-plate journey because we track our animals’ lifecycle using digital documentation and electronic tracking, the animal’s unique nose print, and other technology that documents every moment that matters.
So, when you buy Schottländers Wagyu, you can be certain you’re getting the quality and authenticity you demand.
